Clean Facilities see improved HCAHPS scores…

It’s all about “enhancing the patient environment” and keeping medical space clean.  Supplementing cleaning services or fully outsourcing  can offer a great opportunity in improving HCAHPS scoring.  Data reported by the National Association of Public Hospital and Health Systems estimate only 68% of patients were satisfied with the cleaning of their patient rooms.

As most know that multi question survey has great implications with the onset of the CMS value based purchasing program.  It is no secret that medical reimbursement continues to decline and competition is on every corner both for physician practices and hospitals.  Having a clean facility could set you apart from the competitors and increase profits.

When considering outsourcing, be sure to choose a company that understands the importance of a clean, healthy environment and what it means for HCAHPS scoring.  Choosing a professionally trained service to supplement or replace your facilities staff can reduce costs and headaches if done properly.  A shiny floor and clean bathroom can cultivate feelings of confidence and professionalism therefore setting the tone for the entire patient visit.

Outside of improving HCAHPS scores an poorly sanitized medical space can be a recipe for disaster.  Transferring of pathogens from one area to another, from patient to staff or to visitors can happen quickly and often if proper cleaning and disinfection doesn’t occur.  Many times a medical space may appear clean but if not properly sanitized could be problematic.  Asking staff to clean a medical office space may save you a little off the bottom line but more times then not the cleaning isn’t being done properly.  Staff typically aren’t thrilled about cleaning toilets and tends to cut corners leaving an unsanitary environment and a disgruntled employee.  Contracting with a trusted company can save you money, time and reputation.

There are specific protocols, solutions and technologies designed for medical cleaning.  Leaving this job to the cleaning professionals and allow your staff to focus on patient care and practice management.  The end result will be a productive, healthy environment and improved HCAHPS scores!

School restrooms can often be overlooked and taken for granted, but they are a vital part of the educational experience. From providing a safe and comfortable space for students to take care of their hygiene needs to create a sense of community, school restrooms play an important role in the daily lives of students. In this blog post, we'll discuss the importance of school restrooms, the challenges they face, and some ways to improve them. As mentioned, school restrooms are an essential part of a student's day. Not only do they serve a practical purpose, but they also help create a sense of community. By providing a safe space for students to take care of their needs, restrooms are an important part of fostering a sense of security. Unfortunately, school restrooms are often neglected and suffer from a lack of resources and maintenance. This can lead to dirty and even dangerous restrooms that can cause health problems for students. Often times students communicate the need to wait until they get home to use the restroom. This can be because the restrooms are dirty, lack of toilet tissue or paper towel, or fixtures are broken or inoperable. Fortunately, there are some simple ways to improve school restrooms and create a safe and comfortable environment for students. One way to improve the restroom experience is to be sure the restrooms are regularly cleaned and maintained. This includes ensuring that all facilities are in working order and that any issues are addressed in a timely manner. In addition, the restrooms should be stocked with adequate supplies, such as soap and toilet paper. Ultimately, school restrooms are an important part of the educational experience and should be given the attention they deserve. By implementing these simple steps, schools can create a safe and comfortable environment for their students.
