Here at
Gator Cleaning Solutions, we’ve had the privilege of serving many churches and places of worship. If you’re a minister, spiritual leader or the office administrator for your church, knowing where to begin with your church cleaning tips can be overwhelming.
Below we’ve created a well put-together checklist of which areas the typical church in our area has us clean for them throughout the week. You can connect with your pastor and see what items may be best for your place of worship and then let us know so we can make sure you’re taken care of on a regular basis:
Restrooms cleaning and restocking
It’s important to make sure all sinks and faucets are disinfected, toilets scrubbed, door knobs and light switches are sanitized and floors mopped. Along with church cleaning tips, items that should be restocked are toilet paper, seat covers, paper towels, hand soap as well as trash cans emptied and replaced with new bag liners.
Kitchen and fellowship hall
These areas can have a lot of high traffic and often get the messiest in the shortest amount of time. We want to be sure that your kitchen counter tops, sink areas and cabinets are wiped down, along with tables and chairs so that everything is ready for the next gathering. Church cleaning must include the space in which people gather as this is also the space that will hold the most risk if not cleaned properly.
Sanctuary seating
Your sanctuary of worship may use pews or updated seating chairs, and both types should be checked regularly for miscellaneous trash and leftover bulletins, and may need a quick vacuum from time to time. We can also provide polishing for pews that have faded over time, and are able to make them clean and shine like new.
Sound booths and stage
We make sure to take extreme caution when cleaning sound booths, as the last thing you want when you arrive on Sunday morning is the slides on the screen not showing up due to a careless cleaner unplugging the feed cable while they were cleaning. Our team will carefully dust electronics and take our time vacuuming around the chords and power strips on the floor so nothing gets unplugged.
Nurseri es and classrooms
The safety of infants and children is the top priority on our list, so making sure that all play stations, cribs and toys are disinfected regularly are important items we look after. Because germs are so easily transmitted, we also wipe down door handles, light switches, sink areas and cabinets, so that you know your children’s environment is safe and ready for use.
Pastoral and administrative offices
We want to create a welcoming atmosphere for you and your pastoral team to work in, so making sure that we take care of items like dusting desks, computer screens and bookshelves is important, as well as emptying trash cans and vacuuming. If you ever have any special requests or last-minute needs, don’t hesitate to let us know and we’ll take care of those for you. As your ministry continues to invest in our community, we want to do our part in helping take some of the operations off your plate so you can focus on your mission!
