Just as a shiny floor reflects well on the business, a poorly maintained floor also stands out. Discoloration, peeling and chipping along the edges and wax buildup are just a few things that will happen when a floor isn’t serviced. Start with the edges and work your way in keeping a circular motion to prevent streaking and complete coverage. Be sure to avoid getting the cleaning solution on furniture and baseboards.
- Be sure to thoroughly rinse mop heads and store upright so the mop dries thoroughly. Also remove mop heads and launder regularly.
- Look for gum, scuff marks, stains around urinals and toilets and spot treat or remove prior to mopping.
Schedule Professional Maintenance…
- Be sure to schedule proper maintenance on your floor by trained professionals.
- VCT, depending on daily maintenance and traffic will need to be stripped and waxed regularly and buffed to keep shine and preserve the flooring material.
- Tile and Grout need deep clean and sealing regularly to preserve color and prevent staining.
- Carpets need to be steam cleaned and extracted properly for deep cleaning and prevention of mold growth.
